Galvanised Parts

We can successfully powder coat galvanised components.

Unlike conventional liquid paint which is delivered via an evaporating solvent, powder coating is applied as a free-flowing, dry powder, applied electrostatically and then cured under heat or with ultraviolet light.

Here at MJA Metalwork we use a mixture of thermoplastic or thermoset polymers depending on what is best for the job.

The result is a hard finish that is tougher than conventional paint and gives a flawless and attractive coating resistant to weathering or environmental damage.

Our experienced team provides quality assured finishes as part of a fast and cost-efficient service that can cater for all types of projects from small components to large-scale projects and industrial items.

We are specialists in the finishing industry and can include our powder coating services as part of larger production jobs or as standalone items that are provided to us at this stage.

We can cater for any requirement of consistently bright colour and thickness with no orange peel, waves, pinholes, or back ionization (starring) in sight.

Why Use Our Powdercoat Finish?

Powder coating offers unbeatable finishing standards and cost-effectiveness allowing huge improvements in project times and budgets.

We’re continually challenging ourselves to be a green manufacturing company and are pleased to prioritise powder coating over traditional methods of metalwork finishing as powder coatings contain no solvents and release little or no amount of volatile organic compounds (VOC) into the atmosphere.

Our skilled team can produce much thicker coatings with powder methods over conventional liquid coatings – all without visual defects such as pinholing, running or sagging.

Because of the methods we use during the process, items that we powder coat will have a hugely improved visual appearance when compared to liquid coated parts and there is no visible change from horizontally coated surfaces to vertically coated surfaces.

A wide range of speciality effects are easily accomplished using powder coatings that would be impossible to achieve with other coating processes and we have the widest range of colours on the market.

Curing time is significantly faster with powder coatings compared to liquid coatings especially when using our advanced ultraviolet or superior low-bake, steady-heat thermosetting powders and finishing methods.

Priming and Sanding Services

We also offer priming, acid-etch priming, shot blasting and surface preparation services.
